Come and join our training session - prebooking is essential :)
July 22nd at Albert Village Park - 1pm until 2pm
A chance to join our dog walking team with our very experienced trainer and have some formal dog training......
Every so often we hold formal dog training sessions with the dogs we go out walking with. This serves several purposes for us, firstly if give variety to the dog's outings which we try to make as interesting as possible for them. It also helps encourage and develop good habits, which then makes it easier to take them out to ever more exciting and interesting places as part of the doggie adventures we take them on. It is also great for our staff training needs as they work together with the dogs forming closer bonds and learning new skills.
This is a unique opportunity to join in with our team training session. This needs to be prebooked and is aimed at owners who want to learn skills to help them and their dog enjoy their walks together more, we will be able to accommodate dogs with problems as numbers will be very limited but this is not the right place for any serious issues especially aggression problems, we can help with these but would need to do a 1 to 1 assessment first. We will be mostly working on walking on a loose lead but will include a variety of the more traditional dog training skills such as sit, wait, and more depending on the needs of the dogs in each session.
This is also a great way to socialise your dog (or puppy) in a controlled environment. The session will be around 45 mins to an hour long and will be run by our experienced dog trainer Sophie who will be on hand briefly to give advice, hints and tips between sessions.
To book a place please get in touch via Facebook messenger giving brief details of your dog's age, breed and any issues and your contact number - feel free to ask any questions about our sessions as well.
We can also, during the session, signpost you towards other classes that may be of interest to you either for short term or long term training and dog sports such as agility, fly ball, cannyx etc.
Included in the price is a slice of Stan's Pals popular liver cake cut into training treats ready for you to use during the session.
The cost of joining the session is just £5 which makes it ideal to try out and see if you and your dog would perhaps enjoy and benefit from a dog training class without investing in a course of lessons.
This session will mainly focus on loose lead walking and there will be a variation in that we will be using pushchairs to show dogs how to walk nicely with a major distration - this can help not only with when you need to push a pram or pushchair but also when carrying something like a bag or shoppig, having a shopping trolley or suitcase or even if the walker is using a walking frame.
